2 Day Glass Painting and Stained Glass Workshop November 8th & 9th 2025

The workshop is a fun and informal 2 day course that covers glass cutting, design, glass painting, firing, leading and soldering. You will make a small painted stained glass panel using traditional and experimental techniques.
The workshop is suitable for absolute beginners or people who have some experience. We will be making a panel 20-25 cm square in total.

Time, 10-5pm ( may finish earlier on Day 2)

Refreshments, coffee, tea and cake will be provided
Bring a packed lunch, there is a small shop in village open on Saturday and 2 pubs

Day 1.
Coffee and introductions
Health and Safety
Glass cutting basics
Glass painting, overview, brushes, paint, firing explained
Tracing techniques
Experimental Glass painting
Silver stain
LUNCH
Design the panels and draw cartoon
Cut coloured glass to fit
Paint the sections of coloured glass

Glass is taken back to Jane’s studio for firing

Day 2.
Review painted glass
Leading up the panel
Soldering
LUNCH
Cementing
Cleaning and Polishing
Hanging
